My Blog Was Disabled

Yesterday I went to log in, and got the dreaded message “ Your account has been disabled”, and after some searching, discovered this could be for any number of reasons, the most likely was extra activity on my site. So after more looking, found out I had to send my phone number to Google, they emailed me a code, enter this and BINGO, back in action. But now I see I am a member of my own blog!!! When all runs smoothly, the Internet is a dream, but when it goes wrong, a nightmare come true. All clip art courtesy of the Internet.

The Tararua Forest Park, where we were yesterday, is 116,535 hectares in size, the largest conservation park in the  North Island that is managed by the Department of Conservation. There are many huts, tramping tracks, camping areas, and dense  bush, tall trees and wildlife for all to enjoy. Field Hut, 2.5 hours from where we were, was built in 1924, the first photo was taken in 1930, the other more recently.

Mt Holdsworth, 1475metres high,  is one one of the tramping tracks,, but in winter conditions can be dangerous, Freezing temperatures, blizzard winds, and fog.The trig stands out, with some snow  still hanging onto the wood. All  these Tararua Forest Park photos courtesy of the Internet.

My nightmare would be having the blog disabled! All those photos - all those words! I guess it would be a lesson in not getting too attached to something. Love the track you visited - so scenic.

Thanks Susan and Barb, the hut must have been so well made in the beginning. a very experienced tramper, also a very good friend who I have done 2 tramps with, gave me this advice that going to Field Hut is beyond my capabilities!!!Steep climb, hard terrain, many rocks, so I am content with looking from the other side of the bridge.Cheers,Jean

Eeeeek I keep hearing about bloggers getting locked out or being told they have no more room for photos. I'm dreading that day.

Great photos. You are really turning into a photo expert.

Cheers

Thanks for stopping by the blog and commenting so that I could find your blog. I enjoyed my visit very much today and hope to return frequently in the future.

It is great to hear you have the 550 D and your husband the 40D. The 40D was my main camera from late 2007 until 2009 and it was my second in line until I got the 5D MK III in June of this year. I still have it and will probably never sell it.

Also sorry to hear about your problems with the blog. Computers and the internet are great when they work, but I have had serious issues with two computers this summer and live in dread of the day I am blocked from my blog or g mail.

Thanks Willard, your photos are superb, and yes, you would not want to lose your blog, maybe blogger or Google picked me out by random choice rather than a real reason.Canon 5D, that is a huge step up from mine, in price and content, but I like mine for now so much. Cheers, Jean.

I certainly hope that never happens to me as I don't own a cell phone. I don't even have a regular phone. Yes life without a telephone can have it's problems in today's world. Love your photos of the old view of the old cabin and the new one. What wonderful views.
