Rotorua in Autumn

Autumn colourafternoon sky
One of the trees  in the street by the Library, clouds across the park, and the  night sky from Lynmore.

Rotorua night sky
The trees are starting to drop their leaves, the night sky is showing  red shades, and there is frost on the roof in the morning.
Autumn is here, 2 degrees  Celsius in the morning on the way to Lynmore and Lakes  High.
The park down the road has a children’s play area, and a larger  lawn area, perfect for dogs to train, run and play. The other day I walked down, and met  some Constables from Taupo and Rotorua, training their dogs. The Dog Handlers  had  finished for the day , but were  so obliging and Hera was taken out and ran, jumped and  leapt for a photo. It is a little blurry, but they told me they  train  there  regularly, so I hope for more photos another day.

Hera is a female  German Shepherd,  three and a half years old. These constables do a wonderful job, and have a huge rapport with their own dog. Watch for a better photo next week.
Next day I was at the park, and  here is Bailey, a 3 year old Golden Retriever.
Jazzi is a 3 year old German Shepherd, an ex police dog who was available for adoption. She has a wonderful family, who have had German Shepherd dogs before .
There is an adoption protocol, and I think any family goes through a strict vetting process before the dog is theirs.Lucky girl, Jazzi.

Our grandson asked me what I did all day, “ Do you get bored, Nanny? You are home all day by yourself. ”, “ No, I have all day to do washing, meals, bake muffins,  visit the library , and get in some quilting time and do the school pick-up run at 3 p.m. How could  I get bored??
Photos of the Library and books I chose will be posted  another day.
Quotation of the day , author unknown
Have courage and trust in your ability to  follow your heart

I have been there once and that visit was not nearly long enough. I love the pictures. My twin was always bored and I could never figure that out because there are not enough hours, days, years, to do all I desire.

Thanks James, It is always so good when away to include photos of where I have been, what I have seen and who I have met.And as you may have realised. I ignore the warning " DO NOT talk to men you do not know" ( I think the original words said " Strange Men" but that seems a bit funny these days) If I did that there might not be all these great photos of men and their dogs. !!More of these in an earlier post about Piropiro Flats holiday. Cheers from Jean.
